The Marine Learning Alliance is a provider of online and distance learning degrees in a range of Maritime and Marine based subjects. MLA is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST. It is a Partner College of Plymouth University and the University is the awarding body for all of our degree qualifications.

By studying your distance e-learning degree with MLA, when you graduate you will receive a full degree or Master's award from Plymouth University.

We have a number of highly qualified academics on our teaching staff who have years of industry experience and are extremely well regarded within their professional field. We use the latest technologies to deliver exciting, interesting and highly relevant course material to you via distance learning so you can study anywhere at any time for your maritime degree or masters. The 8-week distance e-learning introductory module, which is mandatory for both programmes, runs three times per year (September, March, May).
